IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our IT and Digital Services team in a key new role at the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH).

Job Description:
Having been through a significant period of growth, our next step is to review how we can get the most out of our business processes. The IT Business Analyst will play a key role in this, evaluating our business processes, identifying workflow processes and ensuring we’re making effective use of digital technology. The role will require to work across the business including supporting the Project Management Office, you will be responsible for determining and implementing future requirements through the analysis and review of systems and business processes, including input into detailed design phases for projects, as well as identifying areas for improvements and efficiencies leading through to business case recommendations.
The initial focus of the role will be the comprehensive review of our digital processes and workflows for M365 Dynamics, you will develop recommendations regarding process improvements, undertaking business process reviews and working closely with process owners. You will support change management, assessing impact, supporting end-users and producing UAT plans, as well as horizon scanning for new ways of working to improve our business processes.
Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate you should have strong knowledge of business modelling, mapping, change and analysis with proven IT business process analysis experience. You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills and will be a critical thinker, with a proactive approach and the ability to analyse complex processes, identify patterns and provide actionable insights and improvements.

Location
We operate a hybrid model of working with a mix of office and home working.
This role can be based out of any of RSH’s core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. Our Manchester and Bristol offices will be relocating during 2025/26, however will remain within the city centre. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements and staff can benefit from working from home for part of their hours. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.

The salary for this role is a spot salary within the given range, which will normally be the minimum of the range. There is no incremental progression through a pay scale. Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performance related bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.
